A local fishing Dhoni has rescued six local males stranded at sea، and bringing the individuals to capital Male’ city.
The ‘Seahorse’ boat، from Kaafu atoll Gaafaru rescured the six individuals at around 17:30 today، reports say.
The reports say a senior crew of the fishing boat informed that the six friends on a night fishing trip.
According to the individuals، they are local small-time fishermen from Fuvahmulak who got stranded at sea after their dinghy broke in half in the middle of the ocean، the ‘Seahorse’ Dhoni crew said.
The fishing boat was expected to arrive shortly in capital Male’.
Though MNDF was alerted no response from the authority، says Seahorse Dhoni crew. No information has yet been disclosed by MNDF on the matter yet.
