Occupational Therapy Services Launched at KRH

Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH) has launched Occupational Therapy services.
Announcing this, the hospital stated that Occupational Therapy will help children with developmental delays learn essential daily living skills, enabling them to perform tasks independently.
The hospital also mentioned that this therapy will assist children experiencing various sensory difficulties in overcoming those challenges.
KRH further noted that this therapy will help individuals recovering from conditions such as surgery, accidents, stroke, or Parkinson’s disease return to their previous state of life and minimize the resulting disabilities.
The main hospital in the North, KRH, had previously launched Telemedicine and Endometriosis services in July of this year.
Furthermore, many other services have been introduced previously. Notably, the hospital began providing Chemotherapy services—a specialized treatment for cancer patients—in July 2023. Additionally, with the introduction of minimally invasive surgery (Laparoscopic Surgery/Keyhole Operation), Plastic Surgery, MRI, Mammography, CT scans, and numerous diagnostic services, the necessity for residents to travel to Malé for healthcare has been significantly reduced.
