An Indian Airlines plane that took off from Male’ International Airport bound for Trivandrum, India, has landed when its smoke alarm went off.
It has been confirmed to Sun that the smoke alarm went off at 12:18 pm, and that the captain took precaution and landed the plane at Male’ International Airport at 12:31 pm.
Chief Executive Officer of Civil Aviation Department Hussain Jaleel said that the captain took precaution and landed the plane when the fire alarm went off, and they are now checking if it was a fault alarm, and if it is not a serious problem, the plane will depart shortly after checks.
