HRCM summons Commissioner of Prisons, over pending case

Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) has summoned Commissioner of Prisons, Abdulla Munaz, for questioning over a pending case.
As per the summon notice, he is to present himself at 11am on 2 April.
He has been summoned over a pending case, and the Commission has requested him to notify them 30 minutes before the given time, if he is unable to present himself to the commission headquarters.
HRCM did not reveal any details of the case.
Munaz was appointed as Commissioner of Prisons on 25 December 2018. The first position he filled during the current administration is membership at the presidential inquiry commission on unresolved deaths and disappearances.
He had previously worked in the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) for 24 years, having retired in 2011.
