Council Secretary General Abdul Muhaimin Naseer rejected allegations of fraud, stating that the grace period for land agreements is calculated from land handover.
The council meeting was adjourned as tensions rose. The matter is now under police investigation, while councilors continue to debate land allocation practices, including contracts issued during former Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s administration.
