Economic Ministry has said that the GetSet Loan - which was introduced to encourage young businessmen - will be distributed by the end of March.
Speaking to Vnews, the manager of the GetSet Program Maheel Ali Jaleel said that one businessman has already received the loan under the program this week, and that three more will receive it by the end of this week.
Maheel further said that 34 businesses will be given the loan under the GetSet Program, and that this includes 72 youths.
The loan includes an 8% interest rate and has to be paid back within 4 to 9 years. The government determined a budget of MVR 200 million for the program.
Economic Ministry has decided to introduce a second scheme for the program, however the second scheme will only be introduced after assessing the results of the first one.
