Maldivian fully booked ahead of holidays

National carrier Maldivian says they are fully booked, ahead of Eid-al-Adha holidays.
An official from Maldivian told Vnews that 99 percent of flights scheduled for the holiday have already been booked. According to him, obtaining a seat on a Maldivian flight at this time would be extremely hard. However, he added that they are looking for ways of accommodating additional customers.
“It will be very difficult to obtain a seat. However, we won’t say it is impossible. It’s possible to get a seat if someone else cancels their booking, which seems highly unlikely” he said.
According to the airline, they had plans to use their biggest aircraft, Airbus A321 for flights to Addu during the holiday season. However, due to the condition of the runway at Gan, they have decided against it.
