Island Aviation Services (IAS) introduces a special fare for Maldivian to Colombo.
IAS stated that the promotion will last until 11th of this month and a one-way ticket will cost US $50 and return tickets will sell for US $100. In terms of Maldivian Rufiyaa at the current exchange rates, this is a MVR 1,542 fare.
The flights, under this special fare, are scheduled to start from Male on the 11th of January and will return on the 14th.
The average prices of airline fares for airlines travelling from Male to Colombo are around US $200. IAS stated that this fare will be applicable only for the set period and was introduced as this is a holiday season.
While IAS continues to expand their operations between Male and Colombo with a special fare, the organisation had to discontinue their flights from Male to Gan due to heavy losses.
