Bank of Maldives (BML) has inaugurated its first Business Centre in Male’ as part of the Bank’s commitment and support for businesses. The new centre is located in Fasmeeru Building, Boduthakurufaanu Magu. Minister of Economic Development, Fayyaz Ismail inaugurated the new premises at a special ceremony held yesterday evening.
According to BML, Dedicated Relationship Managers at the Business Centre will provide support for SMEs on a range of business banking and advisory services including applications for loans and credit facilities and merchant services including POS and Payment Gateway.
“We have a business loan portfolio of over MVR 800 million, comprising over 1,300 small businesses across various sectors. The new Business Centre will serve as a dedicated outlet to provide these businesses easy access to expert advice for all their financial needs, helping us to better serve the needs of SMEs. We are committed to deliver support to the growing business sector and look forward to serving our customers better” Tim Sawyer, CEO and Managing Director of Bank of Maldives said.
BML opened its first Business Centre in Addu City earlier this year and plans to open a Business Centre in Hulhumale’ and Kulhudhuffushi.
With a nationwide network of branches, relationship managers, self-service banking centres, ATMs, point of sale merchants and agents across all 20 atolls complemented by a full suite of digital banking services, Bank of Maldives is committed to serving a large SME customer base.
