Myanmar’s opposition leader، Aung San Suu Kyi is expected to initiate her first ever visits to China on 10th June، Wednesdsay (today).
At a time when the tension between Myanmar and China is significant، Kyi’s visit to the Asian titan may help ease the relation.
Ms Suu Kyi is expected to meet with President of China Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang، but apart from this no other details of her trip is disclosed.
Tensions between the two countries have been cooling down over the past few years، mainly due to the violence near their mutual borders.
Myanmar has been fighting against the rebels in eastern Kokang region، which borders China’s Yunnan province.
The government department responsible and handling the visit had told news medias، that they will not be revealing any details of Aung San Suu Kyi’s trip to public، neither will the media be invited، except for state media.
