PPM Parliamentary Group member, Kela constituency MP, Ali Arif has said that President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom does not use state budget to cover the expenses of his personal travels.
Speaking at a program on DhiTV, Ali Arif said that those who are spreading rumours that the President has a serious medical problem and is getting treatment for it do not want stability in the Maldives. He said that such people are trying to agitate the masses and cause unrest in the society.
He said that such people are doing everything it takes to achieve their sinister goals including obstructing investors from investing in Maldives.
Ali Arif said that travelling abroad is a right of every person and no one can be deprived of that right. He said that it is the right of the President to travel abroad and no one should deprive him of that.
He said that he does not believe that anyone should be concerned of the personal travels of the President.
