The Maldives and Saudi Arabia have discussed strengthening defence cooperation.
The discussions took place during a courtesy call by Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Maldives Yahya Hassan Alqahtani on the Minister of Defence and National Service Hassan Rasheed.
During the meeting, both sides discussed strengthening the defence cooperation between the two brotherly nations. The Minister expressed appreciation for the continued support extended by Saudi Arabia in strengthening the defence sector of Maldives.
Saudi Arabia maintains close relations with the Maldives and provides support in multiple areas, including Hajj-related matters and other forms of assistance.
