Fayyaz Ismail (MP Faya)، Parliament member for Gan electorate has urged the opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Chairperson Ali Waheed to immediately return back to Malé.
In a response to Ali Waheed’s “critic” tweet، Fayyaz tweeted saying، “MDP Chairperson should return back immediately to continue his responsibilities”.
Ali Waheed tweeted critically following the proposal of the Bill on Amendment to the Constitutional، allowing foreigners to own lands in Maldives. In his tweet، he said there is a difference between leasing and granting، adding ‘not to sell everything’.
In response to his tweet، Fayyaz tweeted saying that “nothing would have been sold if Ali Waheed had the courage to face things”، and also added that the consequences are being faced by the MDP members in the parliament.
Ali Waheed is currently in UK following Mayday protest.
