According to BML, the ATM in Dharavandhoo was established under the bank’s ongoing investment project of MVR 300 million to strengthen and expand BML’s services across the archipelago.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Dharavandhoo’s self-service ATM, BML’s Deputy CEP and Director of Operations Mohamed Shareef declared that it marks an important achievement under the bank’s investment programme to provide banking services to all of the Maldives.
BML has established 34 branches, 84 ATMS and 4,000 POS, 200 cash agents and 26 self-service banking centres across 20 atolls in the Maldives. The bank also operates five boat banking units for islands without BML branches, as well as online and mobile banking services.
