Supporters flood Male' for PNC rally with President Muizzu

Supporters of the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) have begun arriving in Male' City from across the Maldives ahead of the major rally scheduled for Friday evening, which will be attended by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
The rally will take place at 20:30 at Artificial Beach and marks a shift from previous party gatherings held at PNC headquarters. According to PNC Parliamentary Group Leader Ibrahim Falaah, the larger venue was chosen to accommodate the growing number of supporters who wish to meet the President and express their gratitude.
The government has heavily promoted the event through artists, influencers, and members of the public aligned with the PNC. Photos and videos circulating on social media show MPs and senior party officials welcoming supporters from the atolls at the airport and bus terminals.
Sun has learned that the largest aircraft operated by national airline Maldivian flew to Addu for the first time to transport attendees to the rally.

Parliament Speaker and PNC Chairman Abdul Raheem Abdullah said the rally will clearly demonstrate which leader the Maldivian people support. He added that citizens are confident in President Muizzu’s leadership and development agenda, and will attend to reaffirm their trust and reject what he described as “unfounded” claims from political rivals.
Falaah, who represents Inguraidhoo constituency, said many people from various parts of the country are expected to attend, though he did not provide an exact figure. “It is a great request from President Muizzu that all Maldivians come to this rally,” he said.
