Applications for the 2024 South Asian Travel Awards (SATA Awards) are now open, with the submission deadline set for March 15. Considered one of the most prestigious accolades in the region’s tourism industry, this year marks the 9th edition of the awards. The ceremony will take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The SATA Awards were established in 2016 to recognize excellence in South Asia’s hospitality sector. The event features competition among tourism and hospitality businesses from the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and India across multiple categories.
At last year’s SATA Awards in Kathmandu, Nepal, the Maldives secured 30 awards, including the Visitors’ Choice "Leading Beach Destination" award. The 2023 awards recognized winners in 144 categories, with 51 Gold Awards and 93 Silver Awards, selected from over 400 nominations.
Interested participants can submit their applications via the official SATA website before the March 15 deadline.
