A luxury yacht owned by ADK Company, ‘Nawaimaa’, has sunk following the fire.
Police, in a message to the media, said the fire which broke out at a yacht named ‘Nawaimaa’ while traveling five miles off Reethi Rah Resort was reported to the authority on Wednesday.
In this regard, the Police detailed that the fire was reported at approximately 3:43am on Wednesday morning.
According to the Police, five people were aboard the vessel at the time of the incident. One of them was transported to Male’ for treatment of burns.
Although the yacht sank following the fire, the Police said they are investigating the incident further.
‘Nawaimaa’ is a luxury yacht owned by ADK Company which is available for charter.
