Maldives-India committed to strengthen cooperation

On the occasion of the Republic Day of India, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu extended greetings and highlighted Maldives' commitment towards strengthening Maldives-India ties.
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi responded to President Muizzu's message, assuring mutual interests of further strengthening bonds of friendship and cooperation between the countries.
In his message on X, President Muizzu stated, "Maldives will always cherish the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation we share with India, which is built on mutual trust, respect, and understanding that have withstood the test of time. I am committed to strengthening our strategic partnership to address common challenges and work for the mutual benefit of people of both our neighborly nations".
