President Muizzu visits Colombo National Museum

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed have visited the Colombo National Museum as part of cultural engagements during the President’s ongoing state visit to Sri Lanka.
The President and First Lady were received by senior museum officials and taken on a guided tour of its galleries, which present an overview of the country’s history, cultural heritage and traditions.
During the visit, President Muizzu signed the Visitors’ Book, expressing appreciation for efforts to preserve and showcase Sri Lanka’s heritage for future generations. The First Lady also signed the book, noting that the tour offered meaningful insight into the stories, traditions and artistry that have shaped the nation’s identity.
The visit forms part of a broader programme of cultural engagements aimed at strengthening ties and fostering greater understanding between the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
