Scholarships Open for Master’s Studies in Korea at KDI School

The Ministry of Higher Education has announced that applications are now open for scholarship opportunities to pursue Master's degrees at Korea’s prestigious KDI School of Public Policy and Management.
These scholarships are specifically targeted at Maldivian public sector employees and are intended to enhance capacity and expertise in various areas of public policy and governance.

- Master of Public Policy
- Master of Development Policy
- Master of Public Management
- Master of Data Science for Public Policy and Management
- Master of Intellectual Property and Development Policy
- Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Be currently employed in the public sector
- Not be currently enrolled in another state-funded program of the same level
- Be up to date with any existing educational loan repayments
- Apply for a program that is of a higher level than their current academic qualification
Applicants nominated for this scholarship must forfeit other state-funded opportunities if they are already nominated elsewhere. However, candidates under the student loan scheme who have not yet signed a loan agreement may still apply. If selected for the scholarship, the loan opportunity must be relinquished.
- Coverage and Support:
- The KDI School will cover admission and tuition fees, along with a monthly stipend.
- Round-trip airfare will be arranged by the Colombo Plan.
- Any additional costs must be borne by the scholarship recipient.
