Carpe Diem Beach Resort and Spa reopens as the first Asian property of The Standard Hotels under new name ‘The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives.’
Developed at the island of Raa atoll Huruvalhi, Carpe Diem was taken under the management of the US-based hotelier group.
The resort was initially developed by Carpe Diem Maldives, a local venture that had opened the resort with 115 villas along with private swimming pool options.
Under the new name, the first Standard Hotels’ Asian property reopened on 01 November following significant renovations to the resort.
The renovated and renamed resort will now bear style and quality visible from other Standard Hotels properties.
The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives will now house a glass bottom night club while disco balls are fitted in lavatories – which is distinct trait in Standard Hotels’ properties.
While the recent addition to The Standard Hotels’ property list is their very first in the Asian region, the hotelier group runs and manages several properties across the world including properties at Los Angeles, New York, Miami Beach and recent addition at United Kingdom.
The hotelier group’s prospect indicates they will be opening new properties in several European cities including Milan, Paris and Lisbon while more properties are set to pop up in the Asian region which includes Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand.
