Moosa Mijad Nooman has been chosen as the best all-round student of Iskandhar School for the year 2014.
At the Prize Awarding Ceremony of Iskandhar School held last night، prizes were handed over to Mijad by the chief guest of the ceremony، Deputy Minister of Education، Ibrahim Ismail Ali. Mijad was also the captain of the school last year. Mijad also achieved the second place in the National Top Ten of last year’s SSC and GCE L Level examinations. Mijad is also a player of the national cricket team’s under 17 squad.
Speaking at the ceremony، Mijad said that any student who is obedient to their parents and pays attention to religious duties and go forwards in academics will achieve success.

During last night’s ceremony، among the 156 students who participated in SSC and GCE O Level examinations last year، the 40 students of Iskandhar School who achieved places in the National Top Ten، 10 students who achieved places in the World Top Ten and Fathmath Iba of the school who achieved first place in Computer Studies from the whole world were also awarded trophies and certificates.
Speaking at last night’s ceremony، Deputy Minisfer of Education، Ibrahim Ismail Ali said that no child will be left behind in the education policy of the government and advised students to take the best advantage of the opportunity they have received now.
Moreover، he also advised the students to appreciate the sacrifices parents are making for the students and to work hard to make the dreams of the parents come true.
Speaking at this ceremony، principal of Iskandhar School، Hussain Saeed Mohamed said that the success of Iskandhar School is owed to the joint hard work of students، teachers، parents and the whole staff of the school. Principal also noted that this government’s education policy of ‘no child gets left behind’ is a huge achievement to the education system.

In addition to Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham، last night’s ceremony was also attended by deputy ministers، state ministers and other officials of the Education Ministry.
This educational institution which was formed in 1991 and currently facilitates over 2000 students، has gotten tremendous achievements in its half a century، 50 years old history.
