The Maldives welcomed 123,552 tourists in June, according to the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation.
The ministry said arrivals in June were 12% lower than during the same month last year but 0.2% higher than in June 2024.
A total of 1,067,543 tourists visited the Maldives during the first six months of the year.
According to the ministry, tourist arrivals increased in January and February compared with the same period last year. However, arrivals declined from March to June, which the government has linked to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Currently, China is the top source market, followed by Russia. Among arrivals, 72 percent stayed in resorts while 23 percent stayed in guesthouses.
