Police shares the security parameters and related details of the cordon-off sites for the upcoming “Minivan 50” celebrations with political parties.
During a meeting held at Iskandharu Building today، police department shared details of the upcoming Minivan 50 celebrations. Political parties were given briefing about the safety measures taken for celebratory activities as well as the safety measures of the barricaded sections of Malé – which are being sealed off for security reasons.
Central Operations Command head Assistant Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen invited all citizens to actively participate in the Minivan 50 activities، while he urged for the support and aid from political parties in maintaining order and peace during the activities. He also added recommendations to the general public to maintain proper order and discipline during the commemorations.
Representatives of the political parties who attended today’s meeting had expressed the importance of national celebrations and assured their full support to security forces regarding the safety and security of the activities.
Apart from Mr. Ismail Naveen، Internal Security Command’s head Assistant Commissioner of Police Hussain Adam، Central Operations Command’s deputy head Chief Superintendent of Police Abdulla Shareef and high-profile officers of both Internal Central Command and Central Operations Command took part in today’s meeting.
The meeting was attended by representatives of all political parties active in Maldives، excluding Adaalath Party.
