Former President and leader of opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)، Mohamed Nasheed، who has been sentenced to 13 years in prison on terror charges، has been taken to the ADK Hospital today.
Though، it is unclear for what he had received a treatment for. He was taken to the hospitals on many occasions since he has been sentenced to jail.
He was taken to the ADK hospital while he was scheduled to be present at Civil Court for a hearing at 13:30.
The case was filed by Nasheed’s brother Mr. Nazim Abdul Sattar، for which the former president filed a joinder as well.
The case has been accepted by the Civil Court over the Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) denying to facilitate family visits to the imprisoned former president – who is serving a 13 year jail sentence for terrorism charges.
