Maldives Islamic University has taken part in the 7th international conference of “The role of scientific research and manuscripts in civilization education”, which is a conference carried out by International Aries University and International Union of Universities.
In the opening ceremony, Islamic University Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed delivered a lecture, highlighting the importance of science and research.
In his address Dr. Shaheem spoke on the importance of research for the development of humanity and that Islamic University places high importance on the aspect. As such, he said that a special department had been created in the University to research, review and publish findings. Dr. Shaheem appealed to the International Union of Universities for their assistance in developing the department. Dr. Shaheem invited all universities to attend the research summit to be held next year by the University.
The University signed agreements with five other Universities to collaborate and hold international conferences.
Representatives from 22 nations are taking part in the conference.
