Education Minister، Dr. Aishath Shiham has said that crafty، skilled youngsters are needed across all regions of Maldives.
Speaking as the chief guest at Ihavandhoo School prize day from her trip to H.A. Atoll، Minister said، “Talented and skilled youths have emerged in the past two years as well from His Excellency President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s educational policy of ‘no child gets left behind’، and are undertaking various national responsibilities across the country”.
In addition to this، Minister also said that various educational programmes are being organised and conducted to accommodate the government’s education policy to provide an education towards a civilised society، to maintain social health. These programmes include ‘Dhasvaaru’ program and B-Tech courses in a variety of schools all across the nation، in order to make sure that every child steps into the community as an educated child and that ‘no child gets left behind’.
Minister asked of the students to work to improve their talents and try to be successful in their practical life، by heeding to the lectures they get in the field of education.
Ibrahim Waheed of Nalahiya ge، H.A. Ihavandhoo، was chosen as 2014’s best all-rounder of Ihavandhoo School. A total of 100 students were awarded academic and extra-curricular excellence at the prize day ceremony and Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham congratulated the prize winners for their achievements.
In addition to the Education Minister، last night’s ceremony was attended by MP Mohamed Abdulla of Ihavandhoo constituency، Commander of MNDF Northern Area، Colonel Mohamed Shahid and senior officials of Education Ministry.
