Applications for China’s annual South Asia Expo and Trade Fair (Kunming Fair), which commences June, are now open for parties interested in representing the Maldives. In a statement, the economics ministry revealed plans to conduct several promotional activities at the fair as Maldives is the “country of honour” in this year’s Expo. Accordingly, the fair will provide the chance to develop and strengthen relations with Chinese enterprises in addition to showcasing Maldivian products and expanding their market. According to the statement, interested parties are to submit their application forms along with samples of the products they wish to participate in the fair to the economics ministry by February 15. Application forms and fair policies are available for download on their website . South Asia Expo and Trade Fair is a major platform for enterprises in China and the South Asian region to showcase their trades. Representatives of the Maldives must submit their products and goods to the ministry by April 10.
