IndiGo has announced its resumption of non-stop service between Hyderabad and Male’.
The Haryana-based low-cost carrier also has the highest number of flights between the two countries. Their latest Hyderabad-Male’ route will start during the peak holiday season in 2023.
“The introduction of these flights will not only improve accessibility but also offer travelers added flexibility and convenience,” Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo commented.
“The Maldives has experienced a recent surge in travel, particularly in anticipation of upcoming holidays and long weekends. Furthermore, as the wedding season approaches, the Maldives stands out as an ideal destination, offering luxurious accommodations and romantic getaways for an unforgettable travel experience.”
The India will have scheduled flights from Hyderabad to Male’ on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays every week effective from October 31, and return flights scheduled on the same days per week as well.
While IndiGo has announced its new India-Maldives route, Vistara, another Indian carrier, already has a daily non-stop service to the Maldives from Mumbai and recently announced its Delhi-Maldives route effective from October 1.
India remains the second strongest source market to the Maldives as of September 5, with 137,613 year-to-date arrivals.
