The Haa Dhaalu Atoll Southern Naivaadhoo Council has announced the lease of 18 plots of land on the island, inviting interested parties to submit bids for agricultural and commercial development.
According to the announcement, the land has been allocated for specific purposes: 4 plots for agriculture, 1 plot for a café/restaurant, 1 plot solely for a restaurant, 3 plots for souvenir shops, and 9 plots for the construction of cafés, restaurants, and retail outlets. Only businesses registered under the Sole Proprietorship Act (Act No. 19/2014) are eligible to take part in the bidding process.
A separate bid document must be purchased for each plot, priced at MVR 200. Applications to purchase bid documents will be accepted from 16 November 2025 until 13:00 on 24 November 2025. Interested parties who request the application form via email before 12:00 on 20 November 2025 will also be granted the opportunity to buy the documents.
The pre-bid meeting will be held online on 20 November 2025, and the deadline for bid submission is 13:00 on 25 November 2025. All bids must be submitted to the Naivaadhoo Council Office.
The Council has formally announced the opening of this leasing opportunity.
