The Ministry of Higher Education has opened applications for the President's Special Scholarship for students who achieved first-class results in the 2024 Higher Secondary Examinations from schools and madrasas across the Maldives.
Applications must be submitted through the MyEdu Portal, and the deadline for submission is September 30, 2025.
According to the Ministry, the required documents include:
- Scholarship eligibility letter from the Ministry of Education
- Higher Secondary Examination certificates
- Proof of English proficiency (minimum grade ‘C’)
- National ID card (and passport copy if studying abroad)
- Fee structure of the chosen program
-Offer letter from the institution
The Ministry stated that scholarships will be awarded under the guidelines published in the Government Gazette, and successful applicants must commence their studies within 18 months of application submission.
