Fourth program of ‘Girls to Code’ to be held in Laamu Atoll

Women in Tech and Dhiraagu has revealed that the fourth program under their ‘Girls to Code’ series is set to take place in Laamu Atoll.
Registrations for the two-month program are now open and aim to teach girls how to code and introduce them to the field of technology.
Beginning on September 25, 2022, classes will be conducted online where girls between the ages of 14 and 20 are eligible to enroll.  Prior knowledge or expertise with computer programming is not necessary.
The program is free to take part in, and participants will learn how to create websites using HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
Girls to code is a training series initiated by Dhiraagu and Women in Tech Maldives. The objective of the program is to create interest in technology and increase women’s participation in the technology sector. The first series was held in Fuvahmulah in 2019 the second series held in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Thinadhoo in 2021 and the third series was held in Haa Dhaalu Atoll Kulhudhufushi also in 2021.
Interested girls from Laamu Atoll can register for the program by filling and submitting the form available in https://www.womenintechmv.org/ before 22 September 2022.
