Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced the third death related to COVID-19 in the Maldives today. 
The news means that the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the Maldives has now reached 120. 
HPA in a tweet said that the deceased was a 57-year old local woman who was admitted at the Hulhumale' Medical Facility.
The time of death is recorded as 19:46. 
 
The Maldives is in the midst of a fourth wave of the virus with the total number of confirmed cases recorded beyond 50,000 and active cases also numbering higher than 20,000.
