Chinese President Xi Jinping assures China will continue to assist the Maldives in the fight against COVID-19.
In a message sent to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih conveying a message of sympathy following him testing positive for COVID-19, President Xi assured that China will continue to assist the Maldives in the fight against COVID-19. President Xi noted the two countries have provided assistance to each other during the COVID-19 pandemic. He reiterated China's commitment to assisting the Maldives in its efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.
President Xi said that further strengthening relations with the Maldives is a top priority of China. In his message, President Xi expressed his readiness to further strengthen the relations between the two countries under the leadership of President Solih.
