Defense Minister Adam Shareef Umar has stated that even the opposition has to accept that peace and stability was necessary for development of the nation.
Speaking in a ceremony held in Girifushi, Minister Adam Shareef said the armed forces provided a variety of services, including training.
Minister said that most of the services provided by the armed forces had to be halted due to public chaos.
“When Police gets busy, armed forces also gets busy. We have to support the Police,”
Minister Adam Shareef said the opposition had accepted that public demonstration are not acceptable and as such had stopped public protests, allowing the armed forces to begin national service.
