The Chairperson of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Ali Waheed and the President of Adhaalath Party Sheikh Imran Abdulla has been brought to court.
Although Imran was brought to Court without the handcuffs، Ali Waheed was brought to Court with handcuffs on، reports the reporters of “Vaguthu” on the scene.
The two detainees are brought to court for the appeal hearing filed due to the remand extension of 15 days.
Imran’s appeal hearing is scheduled for 2:00 p.m today and Ali Waheed’s appeal hearing is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. today.
Ali Waheed and Imran has been arrested for the encouraging and provoking violence and unrest in the Mayday protest.
The Mayday protest resulted in a  violent confrontations between the security forces and the protesters in the evening and during the protest 193 protesters were arrested.
