Health Minister Abdullah Nazim have said that the national health master plan will be successful only when everything else in the country runs also according to the plan.
Speaking at a workshop held at Paradise Island Resort, to discuss about the national health master plan the minister said that from driving vehicles to taxation, everything should go according to this plan.
He further said that this master plan will make things easy for those who work in the health sector. He also said that this plan can assist to standardize the health sector.
Minister said that once the plan is officially launched, government will follow this plan to achieve health sector goals. “We will work according to this plan within these 5 years. This plan was even discussed in the social committee of the President’s office. The committee also wishes to hold wide range of discussions to complete this plan” said the Minister.
Minister Nazim said that a master plan is really important since prevention is better than treatment. “Around 10% of the state budget is spent on the health sector. The people will get real benefit from the budget when we identify the ‘sickness’ beforehand and cure it” said the Minister.
