President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom on Monday said that Maldives and Chine will work in the International Community as partners. 
On Monday، at President’s Office in a Joint-Press Conference with President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping’s who is in Maldives on an official State Visit، President Yameen said Maldives and China are on same terms with International affairs and bringing changes to UN، and that the both countries will be working together as partners in the International Community.
He said that the official talks with Chinese President was a success and that would deepen the bonds between Maldives and China. He also said because of the agreements signed on Monday، the support and aid from China will increase.
“Chine helps the growth of Maldives Economy and they are the most trusted partner. China is ready to help in every way to develop and strengthen our Economy.” President Yameen said.
President said since China is guiding Maldives، it will strengthen our Economy، as Maldives is facing challenges just being stepped up to Small Island Developing State list from the Least Developed State list.
President Yameen said after the official talks with President Xi Jinping، both countries came to an agreement to fight against terrorist and climate changes.
He said، President Xi Jinping’s visit to Maldives is the start of strengthening the bonds between two countries.
