Maldivian Ambassador to Japan, Ahmed Mahloof, has highlighted the Maldives as a rapidly developing destination with investment opportunities across various sectors.
The remarks were made at a business webinar organised by the Japanese Embassy.
In his remarks, the Ambassador said the Maldivian government is working to create a transparent and investor-friendly environment through legal and administrative reforms. He noted that reforms have been introduced to strengthen the investment framework and increase foreign investor confidence.
The Maldivian Embassy in Japan offered to assist Japanese businesses by connecting investors with relevant government agencies and providing information on investment opportunities.
The Ambassador expressed hope that the webinar had provided valuable information on the opportunities in the Maldives. He encouraged Japanese investors to explore opportunities in the Maldives and to contact the embassy for support.
The Maldives and Japan celebrate 60 years of diplomatic ties this year. The Ambassador reiterated the Maldives’ commitment to strengthening economic ties between both countries.
