A delegation from China’s prosecution authority, led by Xi Weizhong, a permanent member of the Chinese Prosecution Committee, has arrived in the Maldives at the invitation of the Maldives Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO).
According to a post by the PGO on X (formerly Twitter), the visit aims to deepen institutional ties and promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two offices. The post expressed hope for continued collaboration in future legal and prosecutorial matters.
The meeting reflects growing legal and judicial cooperation between the Maldives and China as part of broader bilateral engagement.
