Australia Donates Surveillance Drones to Maldives Customs Service

The Australian Government has donated surveillance drones to the Maldives Customs Service.
A special ceremony was held at the Customs headquarters to officially hand over the equipment.
During the event, Australian Ambassador to the Maldives, David Jessup, formally presented the drones donated by the Australian Border Force to Commissioner General of Customs Fathimath Dhiyana, who accepted them on behalf of Maldives Customs Service.
In her remarks, the Commissioner General expressed gratitude to the Australian Government and the Australian Border Force for their generous donation. She noted that the donation would further strengthen Custom’s border enforcement and port management capabilities.
