The Permanent Member of China’s Procuratorial Committee of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, Shi Weizhong, and a senior delegation from the committee have arrived in the Maldives at the invitation of Prosecutor General Abbas Shareef.
Alongside Shi Weizhong, senior officials from China’s Supreme People’s Procuratorate of China are also attending. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the visit marks an important step towards strengthening prosecutorial cooperation, institutional development, and the exchange of expertise between the two countries.
During their stay, the Chinese Procuratorial Committee delegation is scheduled to meet with senior Maldivian officials, including Chief Justice Abdul Ghanee Mohamed and Prosecutor General Abbas Shareef. The delegation will also meet the Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihsan and Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen.
