President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Moomina Waheed as the Vice President of the Human Rights Commission on Sunday.
Moomina Waheed was appointed to this position in accordance with Article 8 of the Human Rights Commission Act (Law No. 6/2006).
Moomina Waheed earned her Master's in Human Rights and Democratization Asia Pacific from the University of Sydney, Australia. Prior to this appointment, she served as a member of the Human Rights Commission.
