Deputy Leader of JP, Abdullah Riyaz have said that the announcement made by Qasim during a JP gathering was a decision taken by the council of JP.
Speaking at a press conference held by the opposition at JP today, Abdullah Riyaz said the council has decided to let former JP MPs who left JP for various reasons join JP again and forget what happened in the past. In addition, he said that the council also decided to help such members get re-elected.
Speaking at that gathering Qasim said that those who vote in line with JP’s three-line whip will get help from the party to get elected again.
“They got elected because I went with them and asked people to vote for them. I am still willing to do that. Now 4 parties have joined together and our group is bigger. Hence who can beat us” said Qasim that night.
Abdullah Riyaz said that, the leader of the party can reveal the decisions of the party council and it should not be a problem.
“I have received information that this issue has become a problem. This case filed to the police by the PG” said Abdullah Riyaz. He asked the PG to refrain from such irresponsible acts.
