Tourist beds in Maldives have increased this year. According to statistics published by the Tourism Ministry, so far tourist beds increased by 11 percent this year.
Records show that by March 2016, there were 34,167 beds in the Maldives. However, this year it is 38,078 beds. So far this year tourists have spent 1842779 nights in resorts, the figure was 1829779 by this time last year. This is a 9 percent increase compared to last year.
