The Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened its Aharenge Fund Community Fund up for proposals in the second quarter of this year.
BML stated that private individuals and organizations that wish to carry out projects in the outer islands should submit their proposals to the bank before 12.00pm of 16 May.
The bank elaborated that the proposals should focus on volunteer work, education, sports, or conservation efforts.
BML Aharenge Fund Community Fund will be funding five of the best proposals it receives in each quarter of this year, providing them with MVR50,000 for operating costs.
The first five projects selected in the first quarter will be receiving their grant this month.
BML spent MVR300 million on 110 community projects last year as part of their CSR activities.
