Al Jazeera has reported that former President and fugitive on the run، Nasheed has refused to believe that Adeeb is a criminal.
According to Al Jazeera Nasheed said that Adeeb is a “victim”. ” President Yameen can pluck any boy who is in his early 30s and corrupt him” said Nasheed.
When Al Jazeera asked if Adeeb is a victim or someone who should take responsibility for criminal actions Nasheed said that he never found these things so black and white.
While Al Jazeera has reported on massive corrupt deals done by Adeeb، they failed to relate any of it to any other senior figures of the government. At present Adeeb is represented in Maldives United Opposition by his wife. It is also believed that Adeeb is using the embezzled money to fund MUO.
