The Government of Georgia has opened scholarship opportunities for Maldivian students for the 2025 academic year, offering fully funded study options across Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD levels.
The announcement was made by the Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development, encouraging eligible students to apply before the deadline at 12:00 noon on June 17.
To qualify for Bachelor's degree scholarships, applicants must have secured at least a grade ‘C’ in five subjects in the GCE O’Level (or equivalent) and at least a grade ‘E’ in three subjects at GCE A’Level. They must also provide proof of English language proficiency.
For postgraduate programs, applicants must have completed a degree in a related field—Bachelor’s for Master's applicants and Master’s for those pursuing PhDs.
Required documents include academic certificates, transcripts, a copy of the passport, national ID card, CV, and a motivation letter, among others. Applications must be submitted via both the university’s designated application portal and the Ministry’s “MyEdu” platform.
The Ministry has urged interested students to prepare and submit their documents early, as late submissions will not be accepted.
