His Excellency Dr Ali Haidar Ahmed, Minister of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development, will attend the state funeral to be accorded by the Government of Bangladesh in honour of the late Begum Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, as the Special Envoy of His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
President Dr Muizzu conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Bangladesh in a message shared on his official X account earlier today, following the passing of the former Prime Minister.
During the visit, Minister Dr Haidar is scheduled to meet His Excellency Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, in addition to members of the bereaved family. He will convey condolences on behalf of the President, the Government, and the people of the Maldives.
