Speaker Nasheed Departs to Srilanka

In an effort to aid Sri Lanka’s economy in overcoming its current crisis, Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed has once more departed to srilanka.
The parliament had stated that Speaker Nasheed is traveling to Sri Lanka to participate in the CVF and Sri Lanka Mission as part of the work done to coordinate international relief efforts for Srilankan economic crisis.
Last May, the Sri Lankan government announced that it had given the former president of the Maldives and current speaker of parliament Mohamed Nasheed the responsibility of securing foreign help for the nation. But Nasheed hasn’t yet been successful in getting Sri Lanka any financial support.
Srilankans had accused Nasheed of facilitating the exile of former Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa from Srilanka.
